Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role involves providing coaching, mentoring, and direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, or epilepsy. The goal is to help individuals develop new skills, maintain current abilities, and live fulfilling lives in Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) and group home settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Skill Development: Create and implement activities and programs to foster skill-building and independence.
• Daily Living Support: Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, dressing, meal preparation, eating, and attending day or work programs.
• Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, and disinfecting equipment and wheelchairs.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare, cook, and serve meals while adhering to specialized dietary needs.
• Plan Implementation: Follow and implement Individual Support Plans, behavior support plans, and therapeutic programs.
• Health Care Support: Administer medications and provide basic health care as needed.
• Recreational Activities: Encourage and support individuals in engaging with recreational activities at home and within the community.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings to discuss and develop individualized support plans.
• Flexibility: Adapt to various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to work at different locations as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks as required by the role.
